Earthquake (6.1) in Indonesia 🌄
The earthquake occurred in the Indonesian province of North Maluku. The Indonesian Meteorological and Geophysical Survey (BMKG) indicated that the earthquake epicenter was located 122 km northwest of the Jaiolo volcano in the West Halmacher area at a depth of 10 km. Information about the destruction and injuries is not yet available. For the moment there are no news about possible tsunamis.
UK Prime Minister moved to intensive care
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson got into the intensive care unit on past Sundy. His condition worsened after being infected with coronavirus. He made a positive result for the virus 11 days ago. B. Johnson was admitted to St. Thomas’s Hospital in London on Sunday evening. Since his condition was not stable, a decision was made to resuscitate. While he is in the hospital, his duties are performed by Foreign Minister Dominic Raab.

Philippine sailors were restricted to enter Japan
The Japanese government has decided to stop entrance of Filipino sailors. These measures are taken to prevent coronavirus infection of port workers. This will affect the crew changes, as Filipino sailors hold 3/4 of work places on Japan’s merchant fleet. The entry of crews from China is also prohibited. Indian sailors have not yet been banned. Sailors are allowed to enter the country only after individual consultation with the immigration services and quarantine services.
Sweden keeps all ports open
Visits to ships by port workers are limited to a minimum. In all ports, a health declaration is mandatory. Crew changes are allowed, but need to keep in mind that the borders are closed, and most of the flights take place from Denmark.
